Since its founding in 1930, the company has mainly been involved in the wholesale of Kyoto Buddhist altar fittings in Kyoto City, and in 1959 it established the Ippo Workshop and began its own production. Each craftsman has inherited traditional techniques, and by valuing advanced craftsmanship and sensibility and utilizing their wisdom, they are promoting the creation of products that will connect to the future while protecting Kyoto Buddhist metal crafts. They consider and create expressions using metal through casting, forging, and other methods.
1930: Sekizaki Sekizo Shoten founded (April 8th)
Established in 1957, Sekizaki Sekizo Shoten Co., Ltd.
1959 Established Kisshoin Kobo
1969: Kisshoin workshop relocated
1981 Head office relocation and construction of head office building
1981: Company name changed from Sekizaki Sekizo Shoten Co., Ltd. to Sekizaki Co., Ltd.
1982: Held the Kyoto Buddhist Altar Ippo Exhibition (Yurakuso, Okazaki, Kyoto)
1982 Participated in the 1st Kyoto Buddhist Altar Crafts Exhibition (Yurakuso, Okazaki, Kyoto)
1989 Kisshoin Workshop rebuilt
1992 Headquarters Exhibition Hall Renovation 1
2017 Gion Festival (Later Festival) In conjunction with the restoration of Takayama, we will manufacture and deliver Takayama gongs.
